Earlier this week Bentley celebrated the exciting launch of their newest showroom in Cambridge.  The dealership was unveiled to more than 200 guests, including Bentley executives who previewed some of the new models that have recently debuted and are due to debut this year. 

Without a doubt, Monterey Auto Week has become one of the world's premier celebrations of automotive style, performance and history. And with events such as Concorso Italiano, the Quail: A Motorsports Gathering, and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, this year's festivities from August 17-21, 2011 drew the attention of automotive aficionados, collectors, luxury car buyers and the media like none before.

Lotus Los Gatos and Lotus San Francisco joined forces again last Saturday and hosted a well-received Lotus event for their Lotus clients and fellow Lotus enthusiasts.  A much welcome addition to the guest list this time were members of the Golden Gate Lotus Club, including the club's President Joel Lipkin, PhD.  Throughout the exciting day, there was plenty of opportunity to mingle and talk shop for all the passionate Lotus owners and the chance to test drive the new Evora S.

The Los Gatos and San Francisco groups gathered at their respective service locations where a savory bagel & lox breakfast got everyone off to a great start.  In addition, the Lotus service teams at the San Francisco and Los Gatos dealerships offered multi-point inspections free of charge, including a "trackworthiness check" for anyone planning to attend the Golden Gate Lotus Club Track Day at Thunderhill Raceway on July 12.  The relaxed morning clinics at the Los Gatos and San Francisco service locations were followed by an exhilarating Lotus rally, all in all 23 Lotus-brand vehicles ranging in age three decades and models including the Esprit, Elise, Exige and Evora.

The Lotus rally led the groups from the San Francisco and Los Gatos service locations up into the scenic Santa Cruz Mountains, along picturesque Skyline Boulevard and onto winding Highway 84 towards the Coast.  Following a short stretch on PCH, the two convoys rolled into Davenport Roadhouse to meet up for a group lunch hosted by Lotus San Francisco and Lotus Los Gatos.  An amazing range of coastal cuisine was served, and the hosts from both dealerships received plenty of praise for putting on an impeccable and highly enjoyable event.

Infineon Raceway was transformed into a "Bullring" on May 20, 2011 when British Motor Car Distributors and Los Gatos Luxury Cars held their latest Track Day at the racing circuit near Sears Point. The exclusive event was co-hosted by Hooked on Driving (HOD), a well-renowned provider of high- performance driving programs.

On a beautiful, crisp Sonoma morning, 17 clients and their guests were able to experience their supercars like never before. Hooked on Driving's expert instructors, including founder David Ray, provided coaching to our clients on high-performance driving techniques. In three track sessions, at 25 minutes each, our customers were given ample opportunity to practice their advanced car control skills that are essential to mastering the challenging track.

In addition, British Motor Car Distributors and Los Gatos Luxury Cars brought the newest Lamborghini models to the venue: Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante, Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Bicolore, and Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera. For the first time, our clients were able not only to get up close and personal to the stunning new members of the Raging Bulls family, but also to get in ride-alongs and test drives around the famed Infineon racing circuit.

What made the event even more extraordinary was the presence of Lamborghini factory driver Richard Antinucci. He brilliantly demonstrated the true capabilities of the new Lamborghini models and helped our clients unleash the full potential of their high-speed Lamborghini vehicles.

The intense 60-lap morning track session was followed by a relaxing luncheon at Jacuzzi Winery in Sonoma. Wine Valley Catering outdid themselves in a delicious 5-course feast that was followed by an afternoon tasting of some of Jacuzzi's most exclusive wine offerings.

From adrenaline-fueled track driving to lounging with a glass of Sonoma wine, it was a great event in which all the participants enjoyed themselves to the max. Even Lamborghini factory driver Robert Antinucci was impressed: "I've done a lot of these (events), no dealer has done it quite as elaborate as you guys have."

Lamborghini's latest incarnation, the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera Performante, was unveiled at a private showing recently in Los Angeles. Lamborghini decided to do away with the traditional unveiling space at the Los Angeles Auto Show and opt for a much more exclusive showing across town, demonstrating the selective nature of owning such an amazing piece of Italian automotive prowess.

Lotus blew everyone away with the showing of not one or two, but five new models at the 2010 Paris Motor Show; the Esprit Concept, Elan Concept, Elite Concept, Eterne Hybrid Sedan Concept and Elise Concept. Importantly, these were not just concept cars, but real cars that already have a development and production program scheduled in at the factory near Norwich, the first one reaching the showroom just 24 months from now. Lotus has truly positioned themselves to becoming a leading player in the performance supercar market over the next few years.

The latest from Bentley - the all-new redesigned 2011 Continental GT, has officially been revealed via the internet with the physical unveiling to the general public coming September 30th at the Paris Motor Show.
